This YH lies halfway between Mt. Fuji and Hakone, and is near from Tomei Expressway Gotenba Interchange. 2 routes From Gotenba station to Mt. Fuji (a mountain bus is run only July and August). Visitors can enjoy hiking to the Otome Pass and Lake Ashino. There are Lake Higashiyama, Peace Park, a municipal hot-spring building in the neighborhood and suitable for walking. It was renewally opened in February 2000.
