Amanohashidate, one of the three great views in Japan is in the northern part of Kyoto, in Tango Peninsula. An avenue of pines extends 4km there, which is a nice walking path. There are many points worthy to see such as Kyoga Point where magnificent view extends, and Kotohiki beach. There are 5 hot springs within 40 minute ride by car.
