This YH is situated in the highlands with 1100m altitude and ideal for enjoying cool summer and skiing in winter. Kusatsu is a hot spring resort and visitors can enjoy hiking of Mt. Shirane, a crater lake and moving around many baths. There are 18 free of charge public baths. Paraglider school is held from end of April to early November. Skiing and snowboard school is held from early December to end of April.


Access: From JR Naganohara-Kusatsu-kogen station, take a bus for Kusatsu-onsen for 25 minutes, and get off at the terminal, and walk for 25 minutes.
