We are a small youth hostel located on Kakaroma Island in the south of Amami Oshima, where the beautiful "Kakaroma blue" sea spreads out. Please come and stay with your favorite books or musical instruments, or as a vacation home, a trial I-turn, a diet, or for any other purpose you wish. We also offer a one-week study support program for youth. Kakeroma is a much larger island than you might imagine, and it would be a shame to leave after just a day or two! There are few stores and transportation is not convenient, but we hope you will stay and enjoy the island's leisurely pace. Please check the original website for the days when meals are served. Please note that depending on the arrival time of your flight, you may not make it in time for the ferry. Please be sure to make reservations by phone, email, or SMS, as we may not be able to accommodate you due to temporary closure or full occupancy. If you cannot reach us by phone, please contact us by SMS. If you are coming by car, please see the Access section for parking location. Alcohol and smoking are prohibited in the facility. For overnight stays with no meals, the kitchen is not available due to health department regulations. Please use the refrigerator, toaster, kettle, and microwave in the living room."
Access

From Amami Airport, take a bus for 2 hours and 15 minutes to Koniya Port via Naze. From Koniya Port, take a ferry for 20 minutes to Seso Port. From Seso Port, take a bus for 25 minutes and get off at Sewu Bus Stop. 1 minute walk. Ferry runs 4 times a day. Buses within Kakaroma Island operate according to ferry arrival and departure times. If you are coming by car, please park on the right side of the ring at the entrance to the village, facing the mountain. The youth hostel is located at the end of the road, one minute's walk from the hostel.
